John Travolta Suggested Lindsay Lohan To Scientology

Actor John Travolta has introduced troubled actress Lindsay Lohan to scientology, a religious system based on seeking of self-knowledge and spiritual fulfilment, in a bid to get her life back on track.
The 57-year-old actor, who is a devout follower himself, suggested that Lohan should give the religion a shot in the hope to settle her career and troubled life, reported contactmusic.com.
’Even though producers were hesitant to hire Lindsay because of her troubled past, Travolta assured them he’d take her under his wing. He feels confident he’ll be able to keep her on the straight and narrow now and forever,’ said a source.
Lohan has reportedly promised Travolta she will attend a Church of Scientology induction course.
’John introduced Lindsay to one of the church’s top counsellors and even though she’s been cast in a new role and won’t play the star’s daughter in the flick she’s assured him she’ll still attend the series of induction classes that will make her a scientologist,’ the source added.

Lindsay Lohan’s Lawyer Enters No Contest Plea

According to sources Lindsay Lohan’s attorney has entered a no contest plea on behalf of the actress in a case involving a stolen necklace. Lohan did not appear in court Wednesday’s hearing in Los Angeles. Superior court judge Sautner accepted theplea to disdemeanor grand theft that was entered by her lawyer.
The plea means the 24 year old is not acknowledging guilt but the case stands as a conviction. Lohan was charged in February with taking a $2500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store without paying for it. The incident happened roughly three weeks after she was released from court ordered rehab on a 2007 drunken driving case. Lindsay Lohan faces a 120 day jail sentence for violating her probation, but she will serve a fraction of the sentence due to jail overcrowding and may be placed on house arrest.
There are some people who are all but a bit upset about Lindsay Lohan’s behavior and the justice system. These individuals believe she has gotten out of more trouble than anyone else. It is as if she is getting a slap on the wrist and walking away to simply get into trouble again. It is a vicious cycle and the actress is literally losing some of her fans and young women who looked to her for inspiration. She has ultimately given herself a bad reputation now and some people feel if she were an ordinary person and not an actress she would not be getting this different attention.

Lindsay Lohan Leaves Jail After Posting $75,000 Bail

On Friday, the actress was sentenced to 120 days behind bars for violating probation by allegedly stealing a necklace.

Actress Lindsay Lohan posted $75,000 bail and was released from police custody Friday night in Los Angeles. The Mean Girls star had been sentenced to 120 days behind bars for violating probation by allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a boutique in Venice, Calif.

The theft case had been reduced from grand theft to a misdemanor on Friday.

Lohan's attorney appealed the sentence Friday.

In addition to her jail time, Lohan was also sentenced to almost 500 hours of community service, including 300 hours at a women's shelter and time at the county morgue.

Lohan's legal troubles began in earnest in 2007 when she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and police found what appeared to be cocaine in her vehicle. She has since bounced in and out of rehab, repeatedly violated probation and skipped or appeared late for several court dates.
